Created as part of the “Under The Sea” collection of work that examines the consequences of rising sea levels and how my work might physically be transformed if left on the ocean bed for many years.
This piece has been hand thrown with the addition of sculpted embellishments that reflecting coastal flora. Finished in a light green / stone glaze with black and oxide reactions this lidded urn is presented on a wooden stand.
Completed in 2019, as part of a body of work for 2020 it has a full signature on the base in addition to Richard’s trademark initials.
This is a sculptural piece of work and not functional.
