Sea Urns were designed and developed in 2018 in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast as a development of Sea Globes.
Made from earthenware clay, with hand thrown lids and sculpted fronds with a resemblance to sea anemones each piece has a unique style of glazing.
The black gloss glazing on this Sea Urn has resulted in stunning contemporary design inspired by the rippling reflections on the Atlantic ocean at night. The Sea Urn has been finished with black lustre detailing on the rim and fronds.
The piece is initialled on the base.
