Sea Urns were designed and developed in 2018 in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast as a development of Sea Globes.
Made from earthenware clay, with hand thrown lids and sculptured fronds with a resemblance to sea anemones each piece has a unique style of glazing.
With a library effect of blue panelling achieved using a fine Japanese brush this Sea Urn has been finished with platinum detailing on the body of the globe, the rim and the fronds on the lid.
The piece is initialled on the base.
