Sea Urns were designed and developed in 2018 in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast as a development of Sea Globes.
Made from earthenware clay, with hand thrown lids and sculpted fronds with a resemblance to sea anemones each piece has a unique style of glazing.
This Sea Urn has a beautiful fusion of deep blue tones and a white rippling glaze that cascades down the globe. It has been finished with platinum detailing around the rim of the globe and the anemone like fronds.
The piece is initialled on the base of the globe and inside the rim of the lid.
