Inspired by the local rock formations that are rich with iron deposits, this beautiful fine bone china Sea Globe has been glazed in shades of black gloss running through to an aventurine and iron oxide core that runs around the circumference of the globe. Gold detailing has been applied during the final firing.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
