Dimensions: H: 10cms D: 10cms
Clay: Fine bone china

Sculptural / Functional
This piece is finished with a grey stone coloured glazing with green / grey tones and unique markings of blue, aventurine and black oxide that cascade down the globe. This is one of a pair which have quite a weight to carry the dense layered glazes that have been held at high temperatures to soak into the body of the globe and gravitate towards and onto the foot rim of the globe. The globe is finished with gold detailing around the rim.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
