This beautiful fine bone china Sea Globe has been finished with a grey glaze with an oxide reaction creating slate like marks around the globe. Further tones of aventurine and olive green have created a feathered reaction rising towards the rim of the globe that has been detailed with gold during the final firing.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
