Grey and black clay inlay Sea Globe (platinum)
Dimensions: H: 10cms D: 10cms
Clay: Fine bone china
Technique: Slip cast
Glaze: Grey, turquoise, black, green, aventurine, platinum
Sculptural / Functional
Inlaid with black clay around the circumference of the globe, this piece has been inspired by my walk between the studio and gallery along the Pembrokeshire coast where the volcanic rock rises above the sand. The piece is finished with an off white, grey and green tonal glazing and platinum detailing on the rim.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
