Sculptural / Functional
This Sea Globe has been designed and glazed with a beautiful flowing movement around the circumference. Layers of variegated blue tones swiftly flow, interrupted by explosive cobalt blue accents and pockets of aventurine. Platinum detailing has been added to the rim during the final firing of the globe.
Fine bone china Sea Globes are handmade in my studio here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Their design stems from the Pembrokeshire coast where I live and work, capturing the essence of the dramatic landscape and ever changing scenery we experience here throughout the year.
